Patriotic Blocks with Doodlebug Paper

With many children running around my house. I love simple fun ideas for decorating. I love letters on blocks and Doodlebug Stars and Stripes and Patriotic Parade is the perfect companion to compliment my vinyl letters on my wood blocks.  It is fun festive and of course Patriotic. When I decorate my home for the 4th of July my kids see how important this holiday is to me and how much I love this country. Now is the perfect time to make decor for next year. Many times I make crafts after the holiday, because I get supplies at great close out deals at Allscrapbooksteals.com. I make up all my projects so they are ready to go next year. I hope that you have some time over the summer to enjoy making your own craft projects. Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline

Make Scrapbooks without a Fuss–Buy Wholesale Scrapbooking Supplies

Before you start pasting photos up, you’ll need to do some preparation and planning. You can start by buying excellent wholesale scrapbooking supplies from trusted online retailers like AllScrapbookSteals.com. The basic materials you’ll need are albums, sheet protectors, adhesive, paper, embellishments, and the pictures or knick-knacks you’ll want to put in.

Next, you’ll need to organize a little. Decide on a title, intro, and a table of contents for your scrapbook. This lets you identify what you’ll put in it and where exactly.

Reliable Online Scrapbook Stores: Supporting a Longstanding Hobby

Making your own scrapbook should be an easy experience, especially if you start simple. What you need to start with is a purpose. Will the scrapbook be aimed at typical milestones and events? Will it focus on a certain person? Is it going to be a gift? Deciding on the purpose of your scrapbook can make it easier to identify the materials you’ll need to purchase from a dependable online scrapbook store like AllScrapbookSteals.com.

When you already know the purpose of your scrapbook, gather all of the photos you think you might need. Additional bric-a-brac may also be added to a scrapbook like tickets, important certificates, and others. However, you may want to use copies instead of originals for what you want to paste onto a scrapbook, such as in the case of birth certificates and other legal documents.

Hottest Scrapbooking Trends for 2014

In another blog post, the return of predominantly classic design elements like bright colors, natural textures, and iconic shapes were discussed. In this post, we talk about the most innovative, and sometimes, quirky trends for this year.

Gold – No, not the precious metal, only its hue. Pops of gold are virtually anywhere, and can be seen in several lines offered by numerous paper crafting material manufacturers. However, while they may be hot enough to be a topic this spring, they’re still being used in moderation and the designs they put out rarely overwhelm observers. They are perfect for people who like mixing, matching, and pulling out stuff from a stash, as a little gold accent can make anything look classy.

Burlap and wood – This year’s hottest texture seems to be burlap, which already made an appearance the previous year and is full of steam heading into this year. Sheets of it are available from numerous scrapbooking material dealers throughout the globe. On the other hand, wood finishes are also practically everywhere—a lot of commercial product lines have them, which makes DIY aficionados want them even more.

Pocket pages – This has been fairly popular for a few years now, but it’s still going strong, and it’s not hard to see why. For this year, the newest thing about pocket pages is that almost every scrapbook product manufacturer is trying to help people include their Instagram photos in their scrapbooks. The 4x4 inch and 2x2 inch square pockets are the most common.

Scrapbooking Ideas for Summer Vacations

What can make your summer vacation even more fun and exciting? How about immortalizing it by creating a scrapbook around everything that you did? Here are some simple tips in making the best scrapbook to commemorate summer fun.

Take Photos

Don’t just snap a few shots of the beach and your family or friends and call it a day. Instead, go crazy with your camera. Bring enough digital storage and take as many photos as you can of just about any event you deem picture-perfect. The more choices you have, the easier it will be for you to craft your scrapbook.

Themed D├ęcor

Look for a good online scrapbook supply store and find the best accessories, paper, bindings, and decorations that best suits your summer theme. Grab anything from seashells to things like sand, palm leaves, and starfish. Summer colors should be light and vibrant, enough to show just how energetic the season is for you.

Pictures First

Before you lay the embellishments though, be sure to arrange the pictures properly first. You can arrange it by day, or by activities you love, or any other layout you want your scrapbook to embody. Only after you’ve set up the photos should you decorate, so your output won’t end up looking messy with too much adjustments.
