Carta Bell Soak Up the Sun Tutorial

With summer just around the corner Carta Bella Soak up the Sun is the perfect addition to your scrapbook supplies. So many times I have supplies and don't know what to do with them. I will be honest. I have steered clear of die-cuts because I didn't understand how to use them. I found this great tutorial on Carta Bella's blog and I wanted to share it with you. These dies can be used on any die-cutting machine and the washi tape helps hold it in place.  Check out all of Echo Park and Carta Bella Designer Dies at Have fun and Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline

Silhouette Mouse Pad

Today I opened up my email and found this idea from Silhouette. I just love my Silhouette Cameo. It does so many things. I love that there is a ton of creative things that I can do with my Silhouette.  In addition to having a free shape of the week they also have these fun tutorials. Check out Silhouette products today at Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline.

Silhouette Inspiration: Mouse Pad
The living room isn't the only place in the house to decorate. The computer room can have a style of its own as well! Try prettifying your mouse pad with these trendy "painted" days of the week.

·  Silhouette white smooth heat transfer
·  Days of the Week design
·  Mouse pad
·  Iron
·  Scrap of fabric
1.    Measure your mouse pad and draw a basic shape in Silhouette Studio® with the same dimensions.
2.    Open up the Days of the Week design, ungroup, resize, and arrange the words however you’d like within that shape.
3.    Select the words, right click, and flip horizontally so that the words are backwards.
4.    Load the heat transfer shiny side down into your Silhouette, select heat transfer from the cut settings menu, and click cut.
5.    Once it’s cut out, weed out all of the unwanted heat transfer, flip it over on top of the mouse pad, cover with a scrap of fabric, and press with a hot iron.
6.    Carefully remove the plastic, and you’re done!

Basic Supplies when you need them.

My scrapbook hobby has come in handy on more than one occasion. There have been many last minute school projects that I have used my supplies on. I am sure many of you are aware of the 9 p.m. "Mom I have a project due tomorrow".  My question is always "How long have you known about this? and Why is this the first I am hearing about it". Nevertheless, I am grateful to have basic supplies like cardstock, tape runners, glue, ribbon, and baker's twine always on hand.

I recently used these supplies on Easter to give my baskets a finishing touch. In the past I have used clear bags for my Easter Baskets.  All of my children know what their basket looks like, but this year I thought it would be fun to wrap them in colored plastic. I realized that this required me to make some tags. After I made some tags, I started looking at ribbon that would compliment the colors I had chosen. I was so thankful to have the perfect colors of Baker's twine on hand. That was the perfect finishing touch to my Baskets.

Right now at, Cardstock Packs are on sale. Stock up on your basic supplies today. Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline

Online Scrapbooking Stores: Tips for Making Handmade Greeting Cards

Bouquets, diamonds, and grand gestures aren’t always the best ways to show someone how you feel. A thoughtful gift is worth more than anything money could buy, especially if it’s customized for the one you love. Sometimes small, inexpensive presents are the ones that are appreciated the most, and even something as simple as a card could be used to express boundless emotions.

Easter Wood Projects

Easter is coming up this weekend. Now is a great time to stock up on all those fun Easter and Spring Papers before they are gone from As I have mentioned before, I LOVE wood projects!!! (Check out the Wood Shoppe on website) They are fun, easy, and I receive instant gratification. This has been my favorite go-to hobby for the last 2 years. My children think it is hilarious that I am always painting something (they are ready to stage an intervention :-)). I know it is crazy, but when I create something it calms me down. I think that any type of hobby can ease anxiety and help with depression. This one is mine. After I finish a project, I seem to have more energy to get other stuff done. So whatever your hobby is, Happy Crafting!!! Jacqueline

Doodlebug Sunkissed

The days are getting warmer, and in just a few short months it will be Summer. Doodlebug has a cute new line out that is perfect for Summer. Sunkissed is full of flip flops, popsicles, sun and fun and it is now available at

One of my favorite things about this line is the enamel shapes that are available. Doodlebug has mastered the enamel dots and now they have moved on to the enamel shapes. Their Sunkissed enamel shapes are some of my favorite. They have flip flops, sunglasses, watermelon, and Popsicles. They are the perfect accent to any page or card layout.

The next item that I really like is the 4x6 and 4x4 element sheet. These sheets are perfect for pocket scrapbooking and for the fun wood crafts that you see everywhere. I love decorating for the seasons and I can't wait to make some home decor blocks for my house.

When the weather's warm but your creativity is cool, reach for the newest sunny assortment from Doodlebug Design, Sunkissed. A radiant array of all things fun-in-the-sun, this bright colored collection is perfect for adding a splash of summer fun to your projects and crafts.
